The countdown to the top aviation event of the year has begun!
On 5 & 6 September, the Athens Flying Week – Tanagra International Airshow takes off once again!
The largest air demonstration in the Eastern Mediterranean returns to Tanagra Air Base more dynamic, richer, and more spectacular than ever before. With dozens of fighter, aerobatic, and transport aircraft, as well as major international participations, it promises a unique show that will thrill thousands of visitors.
This now-established event brings this year the most advanced combat aircraft and helicopters, as well as legendary planes from the past!
Fighters from Greece and abroadAt the heart of Athens Flying Week 2026 are:
- The captivating Fursan Al Emarat from the United Arab Emirates! The aerobatic team returns to Greece with an entirely new aircraft, the twin-engine jet Hongdu L-15! For the first time, a Chinese-origin fighter/trainer comes to Athens Flying Week! Get ready for an unforgettable air show with impressive aerobatics, colours, and the sound of 14 engines!
- The Finnish F-18 Hornet Demo, one of the most impressive displays worldwide, comes to Greece and Athens Flying Week for the first time!
- The Spanish Eurofighter Typhoon in its debut participation at Athens Flying Week arrives to amaze you!
- The legendary F-4 Phantoms in one of their last appearances before the public! Don’t miss the chance to see up close one of the most famous Cold War-era fighter aircraft, just before it is retired!
- The Eurofighter Typhoon of the German Air Force for an appearance that will be talked about… And the German Tornado in a flight display!
- The Austrian Pilatus PC-7s return to Tanagra after their successful debut flight display at AFW!
- Also, for the first time in Greece, the Canadian Skyhawks parachutists and the French Phenix parachutists for a high-adrenaline spectacular!
- The Belgian A400M Atlas in the static display of AFW26! The titan of the skies will be ready to welcome young and old inside!
- The Italian F-35 in the static display of Athens Flying Week! The world’s most popular stealth aircraft comes to Tanagra!
- And of course, many more surprises await you at Athens Flying Week 2026!!!From the Hellenic Air Force, the popular F-16 ZEUS and T-6 Daedalus will not be missing, while the F-16 Vipers, Rafales, Mirage 2000-5s, M-346s, and the legendary F-4 Phantoms will also fly.
In addition, all flying assets of the Hellenic Armed Forces will participate in impressive formations and complex scenarios together with Special Operations units.
Legends of the skies
This year’s event also travels back in time with historic warbirds such as the Supermarine Spitfire MJ755 and the T-6 Harvard, which have returned dynamically to Greek skies thanks to the “Ikaros” Foundation.And of course the civilian participations and our favourites:

Besides the aerial displays, Athens Flying Week 2026 will feature a large static exhibition where you will be able to see up close and photograph yourselves with all the participating aircraft and helicopters!
