Athens Flying Week (AFW) 2025, the biggest air show in the Balkans with over 500,000 loyal fans worldwide, returns once again for another exciting aviation weekend the Tanagra Airport, on September 6 & 7.

 At the Tanagra Airport, you will have an exciting and unique experience, with the opportunity to:

EXHIBITORS ZONE

ATHENS FLYING WEEK attracts thousands of visitors each September, including corporate customers, families with children, tourists from all over the country and abroad, as well as military personnel.

Whether you want to promote your corporate identity or to achieve brand awareness, we can offer a wide range of interactive opportunities with the public, according to your needs!

EXHIBITORS’ PARTICIPATION PROPOSALS IN TANAGRA AIR BASE ON 6 & 7 OF SEPTEMBER

VIP AREA

The VIP ticket provides you with an unforgettable experience at the AFW

  • An excellently furnished lounge is set up towards the center of the show, shielded under the VIP tent to enjoy the airshow comfortably and with a clear view.
  • A private, open, and free space (“courtyard”) with grass in front of the covered area allows you to experience the show closely and safely.
  • A separate entrance is provided for easier and quicker access to the event area.
  • The VIP parking is located behind the VIP Area.
  • At a private station, you can enjoy food and drinks.
  • An unexpected gift awaits you at your seat.
  • The ticket allows easy access to all AFW areas such as: restaurants, exhibitions, static displays, and Public area. 
  • Private WC, which is also accessible to guests with disabilities 
SPOTTERS & SPECTATORS GRANDSTAND

A particularly created ticket for our aviation spotter friends who wish to enjoy the full Air Show and spectators looking for the best view: 

  • The Specially designed raised grandstand provides spotters with the ideal angle for unique shots of the aircrafts and spectators a higher vantage point of view of the show.  
  • A separate entrance gate provides easy access to the event area 
  • Parking is available behind the specially built area.
  • The ticket allows convenient access to all other AFW facilities in the Public area, such as the static display, trade fair, restaurants, and WC. 
SEAT & SHADOW AREA

Elevate your experience with the Seat & Shadow ticket:

  • Enjoy the airshow comfortably at the sheltered and furnished lounge set up near the center of the show.
  • A private, open, and free space (“courtyard”) with grass in front of the covered area allows you to experience the show closely and safely.   
  • A separate entrance is provided for easier and quicker access to the Seat and Shadow area. 
  • You can exit and return to the Seat & Shadow Area at any moment, having easy access to all other AFW areas: restaurants, exhibitions, static displays ad Public area. 
SEATS

Elevate your experience with this ticket.

  • Enjoy the airshow from the comfort of your seat.
  • Receive FREE airport parking.
  • The ticket allows you to exit and return to the Seats Area at any time.  It allows convenient access to all other AFW sections in the public area such as the static display, trade fair, restaurants and WC. 
PUBLIC AREA

A ticket designed for your enjoyment during the two-day event in Tanagra airport grounds! We designed a space in which you can stand or bring your own equipment (chairs, umbrellas etc.) and enjoy the spectacular Air Show from the front row.

With this ticket:

  • You get FREE parking INSIDE the airport
  • You secure access to the largest static air static display of recent years and take photos next to spectacular aircraft, together with the pilots.
  • Access to all other areas of AFW (Public Area), such as restaurants, WC, etc.

GETTING THERE

You can reach Tanagra Air Base through one of the three following ways:

Where can i get tickets to AFW?

At More.com you can get your tickets and find out about all the different types of tickets.

How can i come to AFW?

You can come to Air Show in one of 3 ways:

  1. Drive
  2. By bus from Doukissis Plakentias Station. Get your tickets from More.com
  3. By train from Oinoi Station, and approximately a 30-minute walk to the entrance of the event

 

Where can i park ?

AFW provides FREE parking, inside the airport and RIGHT NEXT TO the spectators’ area.  All parking areas are unpaved.

For riders of motorcycles, there is a designated space in the main parking area, with a hard surface. The path from the Parking entrance is unpaved.

For VIP, Seat & Shadow, and Spotters ticket holders, as well as the Press and disabled guests, a separate parking area is provided, through a different entrance of the airport.

What we suggest that you bring with you?

For the PUBLIC-F1 area, we advise you to bring your own equipment, such as chairs.
You may also bring hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, and comfortable shoes to ensure you feel at ease throughout the event. Many of these items can also be purchased from the AFW booth at the trade exhibition.

Throughout the event space, you can dine at the fully equipped Veneti restaurants, where you can get soft drinks, water, snacks, and ice cream with quick service.

Backpacks, large bags, coolers, etc. will be subject to special checks by security personnel.
In all areas of the event other than the PUBLIC-F1 spaces, the use of personal equipment is not allowed.

***The organizers reserve the right to relocate spectators with umbrellas or any other equipment if it obstructs the smooth running of the event, affects the experience of other attendees, or is deemed unsafe by the organizers.

Is an Air Show safe?

AFW places the highest importance on safety.
We are proud to say that in the 12 years of the Airshow’s operation, not a single accident has occurred.

AFW works closely with national and local authorities to ensure the safety of both spectators and crews. The Air Show has been designed by strictly following and implementing its regulations, which have been developed according to international standards.

During your visit, you will notice the presence of uniformed security personnel.
We kindly ask that you follow their instructions to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the event.

Where can I move within the event space?

The movement of AFW visitors is restricted within the enclosed area, which is protected by fences, nets, and/or tapes. The Tanagra military base and EAB S.A. are classified areas, and movement outside the enclosed space is strictly prohibited. Please follow the instructions of the security personnel and the special signage.”

Can i get near the aircraft in the Static Display Exhibition?

At the largest static air display of recent years, you will have the opportunity to take photos next to the aircraft and with the world-renowned fighter pilots.
With the crew’s permission, you may also be allowed to enter the aircraft and/or the helicopters.

Crossing the safety barriers, where they are in place, is strictly prohibited !

Can i visit the apron of the aircraft participant in the Air Show?

The area where the air show aircraft is parked is restricted to the public.

Is the Air Show program on Saturday different to the one on Sunday?

Saturday’s flying schedule may differ from Sunday’s.
Please visit the “Schedule” section on our website for more information about flight times.

Can i bring my dog or any other animal with me?

We regret to inform you that dogs or other animals are not permitted at the event. This restriction is primarily for safety reasons. The majority of the aircrafts are noisy, and this may cause discomfort or distress to any animal. Additionally, to prevent the possibility of an animal escaping and becoming uncontrollable, this policy has been put in place.

Can i bring/use my bicycle?

You are welcome to come to the event by bicycle if you wish, at your own responsibility for its safekeeping.
However, riding it is prohibited throughout the duration of the event.

What arrangements have been made for individuals with disabilities?

There are special provisions for holders of the disability card.
Our staff is trained to provide the necessary assistance, and our volunteers are always available for any additional support at all event locations.

When will participation's be announced?

As soon as each Athens Flying Week (AFW) comes to a close, we immediately begin preparations for the following year.
Once we receive official confirmation of any participation, we make sure to announce it promptly on our social media channels and on our website under “Confirmations”

What time do the gates open/close?

The event gates open at 09:00 on both days for the public.
Stay tuned for the flight program start times.

Do i need to print out my ticket?

At the entrance gate of the airbase, you will need to show your ticket in any format that is convenient for you (electronic or printed) in order to be allowed entry.

Please remember that after purchasing your ticket from More.com, you will receive a confirmation email. In this email, you will find a link that redirects to your electronic ticket.

How can i become a volunteer?

In all cases, displaying and scanning your ticket is necessary to for your entrance. At the airport’s gate, you will need to provide your electronic or printed ticket for it to be scanned, so that you can enter the event area.
