Where can I purchase my tickets for AFW?

You can purchase your tickets from More.com where you will find all the different categories

How can i come to AFW?

You can come to Air Show in one of 3 ways:

  1. Drive
  2. By bus from Doukissis Plakentias Station. Get your tickets from More.com
  3. By train from Oinoi Station, and approximately a 30-minute walk to the entrance of the event

Where can I park?

AFW offers FREE parking inside the airport, next to the spectator area. The parking lots are all unpaved.
Motorcycle riders get a designated location with a hard surface in the main parking area. The walkway leading from the parking lot is unpaved.
A separate parking area is offered for VIP, Seat & Shadow, and Spotters ticket holders, the Press and guests with special needs, via a different airport entrance.

What should I bring with me?

We suggest you bring beach umbrellas and folding chairs if you have purchased the Public area ticket.
However, it is advised for all to bring with their caps, sunscreen, sunglasses, and wear comfy trainers.
Products will also be available at the AFW shop, located at the trade fair.

There are well-equipped restaurants with shaded spaces in the event area where you can take dine and cool off!
Additionally, separate points of sale for drinks and snacks will be available, providing you with quicker service. 
 

Is an Air Show safe?

AFW places the utmost importance on safety issues. We are proud to say that, in during the 7 years of AFW, there have been no accidents. AFW collaborates closely with state and local organizations in order to safeguard the safety of spectators and crews. In designing the Air Show, AFW has faithfully adhered to and implemented its strict regulations, which were drafted in accordance with international standards.  During your visit, you will notice uniformed Security staff and, in order for the event to be conducted smoothly and safely, we would request that you follow their instructions.

How can i move within the event space?

The movement of AFW visitors is restricted to the areas blocked off with railings and/or nets and/or tape. The Tanagra Air Force Base and HAI S.A. are classified areas, and movement beyond the designated areas is prohibited! Please follow the instructions of the security staff.

Can I get near the aircrafts in the Static Display Exhibition?

  • At the largest static display exhibition in recent years, you can take a picture of yourself next to the aircraft, with the fighter jet pilots as well as the world-famous aerobatic pilots.
  • With the permission of the crew, you can also board the aircraft and/or helicopters. 
  • However, where a safety fence is placed, it’s forbidden to cross. 

Can I visit the apron where the participating aircrafts of the Airshow are located?

The areas where the aircrafts are parked are prohibited to the public.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted for your safety but also for the pilots’.
The majority of aircraft are pretty noisy and likely to cause discomfort to animals.
Additionally, is to prevent any possibility of an animal escaping or being out of control.
 

Can I bring/use my bicycle?

You can bring your bicycle but for safety reasons they should be left in the motorcycle parking area.

When will participants be announced?

After each AFW, we begin planning for the following year’s AFW!

We will make an announcement as soon as we get proper verification from the teams.

What time do the doors open/close and what time does the Airshow begin/end?

On Weekend, doors open at 09:00 and close at 20:30.

The airshow begins on Saturday at 14:00 and ends at 20:00; on Sunday at 12:00 and ends at 18:00.

What provisions have been made for disabled guests?

For PWD card holders, there is a special provision!
Free entrance to the Public Area (F1) to all PWD card holders +one companion.
In addition, we offer free entry to the VIP area to disability cardholders that face mobility issues +one companion,  upon request and subject to availability, to ensure a comfortable experience at the Airshow.
Our VIP Area is fully equipped with the necessary infrastructure to meet the needs of People with Mobility Impairments — special ramps for easy access to the area, sunshade and easy access near the Airshow runway, special WC toilets.
Our staff is trained and ready to provide the necessary assistance, while our volunteers are always alert for any additional support in all areas of the event.

For more information on the tickets, please send an email to: invitations@athensflyingweek.gr . The invitations are sent via email and only upon proof of the PWD card in time.

Οther family & friends members will have to pay the price corresponding to the category of the ticket they will enter.

Do I need to print out my ticket?

Once you have bought your ticket from Viva.gr, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. In this e-mail, you will find a link that will redirect you to your electronic ticket. 

Your ticket can either be downloaded and saved on your phone or printed out. At the airport’s gate, you will need to provide your electronic or printed ticket for it to be scanned so that you can gain entrance to the event.

How can i come with the event's bus

Make your trip to the Tanagra Air Base easy and cost effective!

Buy your ticket at More.com. Then call Athens Flying Week at 694500722 to state your time of arrival and departure in order to reserve your seat on the bus.

The daily timetable will be announced as soon as possible.

Is the Airshow program on Saturday different to the one on Sunday?

The Airshow program differs on Saturday to Sunday, each having a different flight schedule.
